    I currently have an Asus barebones system that has a X1600 with 256mb. I have a 2.0gh C2D and 2gb RAM.

Wondering if it it worth upgrading to a new system and re-using my CPU, RAM, and HD for a new one with a 8600GT with 256mb?

Then again I dont know if my C2D that is a Memrom would work with one that calls for a Conroe?

No it won't wok on the C90S since it uses a desktop CPU. HDD and RAM will work though

The S96S would I think (Santa is backward compatible right?). It has a 8600M GS rather than a GT though.
