    Would light peak make an external graphics card more viable?

    I was just thinking that a laptop with light peak should be able to handle an external card since it has alot more bandwith than an express card.

    Well, the bandwith of lightpeak should definitely be able to handle the data, but there's still the question about the latency... a GPU needs to be very well integrated into the system, otherwise it's useless.
