First of all I see a thread where some guy says he had the new 163.44 drivers I think it was and I'm wondering how in the hell he got them to work? I thought those werent even compatible with the notebook version of the card? When I try to install either the new drivers or the beta drivers I get this message:

"The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."
    ...
I think that is the reason I can't play the bioshock demo as I can't install those drivers.

So I installed the Sims 2 tonight and now I'm having problems with it. When I do a system performance test for the game it says I can run it on the fastest settings. Now when I went into the menu to jack up all the graphics I could put everything on high but the "Smooth Edges" (Anti-aliasing) option was greyed out not letting me use it. The game is just really jaggy without AA and I don't even want to play it. I went into the NVIDIA control panel to turn it on manually but I get a good bit of lag when I do that when I shouldnt get any at all. I think it's because I'm forcing the AA instead of doing it through the game.

If anybody can help me with any of this that would be amazing as I've been trying to figure all of this out for about 5 hours already tonight. Thanks you guys are pretty much my only hope here lol.

My specs are in my sig. I successfully installed 163.44 and they have been working great.

You don't need those drivers to play Bioshock, bro. They are only supposed to "enhance" the experience. I didn't notice much different before and after, though.

Make sure you are getting them straight from www.laptopvideo2go.com. Make sure you replace the original INF with the modded INF. Also, make sure you are downloading them for the right OS.

If they really don't work for you, I can only suggest you try the 162.18 drivers, as they were second best for me.

EDIT: I read your second post after I posted this. 165.01 are pretty damn old, actually. Don't guy by number, look at the date.

    165.01 - 4/12/07
    163.44 - 8/17/07

Damn lol alright.. Well right when before I got done installing them I got the blue screen and then it restarted. When I checked my drivers it said I still had the old one so I'm going to download the newest driver now. I'm pretty sure what caused the blue screen was that I didnt replace the new INF with the old one. I just had them both in there so I guess thats what messed me up. But yeah my problem with bioshock... It would do fine until right at the scene where your smoking a cigarette in the plane and then they crash. After that it just goes to a black screen. Hopefully when I get these new drivers on here things will start to clear up for me.

If you're getting the BSOD make sure you're getting the Vista versions of the drivers. If you install the XP versions you will get an instant BSOD when opening a game.

    Tried Add/Remove Programs?

Also. I'm running the latest non-beta drivers (162.22) from Nvidia on a Dell 1520 with 8600m GT and modded .inf and it runs Bioshock no problems.
