heya just pre-installed X-Com 2 and based on the road map http://steamcommunity.com/games/268500/announcements/detail/843665914362353836 look forward to sinking my teeth into it later today.

i loved X-Com enemy unknown and am very excited about the second installment, anyone else got/getting the game?

after looking at a few different streams the graphics look to have been improved, the new alien-types along with the randomly generated maps have got me chomping at the bit.

Saw it at PAX south, and it definitely looks cool. I haven't finished the first one (the recent one) and seeing 2 in action pushed me to keep playing the first one.

They also released or showed many mod tools to make your own maps and changes, which seem pretty robust. Specially since they implemented it in a way it won't break the main game, but work with it.

im really enjoying it so far, haven't had a huge amount of time over the past couple days, but my initial experience with the game is its just expanded in positive ways over the first with improvements to combat, research and upgrades etc, much more intuitive over all and the combat is a blast with the new map design/generation ideas.

a few cool mods where released at launch which is a really exciting part of the new game, hoping to see some really cool ones soon

ill add more after ive given it more time, but so far so good.

I feel ya. Had I Rise Of The Tomb Raider, I wouldn't have time for anything else as well. Probably would spend too much time looking at her booty.

Rise of Titty Tomb Raider is pretty fun. I like it. Somewhat open world, go at your own pace, do what you want, pretty fun, plus I can save and quit any time I like, which is what I like and need.

lol i have rise of the tomb raider too, that and Xcom2 are my two games atm, i had to put the witcher 3 on the back burner after 70 odd hours it was a time sink, only got around 3 weeks of holidays so want to try and get x-com 2 and rise of the tomb raider done and dusted, then i can chip away at the Witcher 3 at my leisure.

i agree mate, really enjoying it a lot, im back visiting the folks and my mum is a tomb raider nut so i usually play it when shes around, really like the improvements over the last game, and i must say your correction Rise of Titty, erm, Tomb Raider ummm they don't seem anywhere near as big as the old ps1 versions, maybe they where bigger back then because graphics where not as good, they probably took up a block each o.0

Why did you buy it then?

So is it true that there are no Gene/MEC upgrades in XCOM2? Guess they left them for DLCs, huh.

What then? XCom 1? That I played a bit of, but realized how in depth it is and a time suck. Something I like just on my list to get to one day, or not, lol.

yeah the customization is greatly improved, im having a blast with the game, really challenging but like most challenging games (especially on higher difficulties) the feeling of accomplishment after a successful mission is second to none.

some of the mods are really good, not giving you a op feeling just helping to tweak things a little, great game, i might even be enjoying it more than the nineties games X-com UFO defense and terror from the deep o.0

    updating from earlier posts,

having a blast with the game, 20 odd hours in i have to restart had a bit of a shocker with my estimations, and have basically lost the play-through.

the great thing about this type of game is, i don't see it as a failure, it was a learning play-through, i haven't used any guides so have learnt a lot of valuable things that will for sure make it easier in my next campaign.

not many games around at the moment that im prepared to start from scratch after 20 odd hours, that's probably the biggest praise i can give the game.
