As many of you (probably) know, there is a good deal with a Dell laptop. It has the ATI 1150xpress Graphics card, which I'm sure that many of you are familiar with the specifications. Now, I'm wondering two questions:
- How well does the 1150 support Windows Vista Ultimate?? Well or not well at all??
- What framerate would a TL-56, 1GB RAM, and 1150 achieve in America's Army and Wolfenstein, the 2 games I play??
Thank you for your help!

It would be fine for those games. It's not a powerful card at all and poor for anything recent but for those type of titles, it's perfectly capable...

Be careful with Americas Army 2.8.0 (the least version).
It appears as if each version being released the performance degrades. -
I played America's Army with a Radeon X300 at about 35 fps with no problem [I don't care much about advanced optimal settings, 800x600
)... I was wondering if the performance of the 1150 would give me around there, 30-40 fps consistently at something like 800x600 with all graphics stuff off
And what about Windows Vista Ultimate?? How will the 1150 run it??
Thank you again for your replies! -

The Radeon X300 has roughly the same amount of power as the X1150, so if one runs the game then so will the other.
The X1150 is fully compatible with the Aero interface of Vista, so no worries there. -
thank you all for your help! I love this forum!
