I have been lured away to the dark side for now (waiting for iBook replacements) and have bought a desktop with the Radeon X1600. I have been hearing that Oblivion is rather intense and have been wondering how well the X1600 can run it.

the x1600 in notebooks runs oblivion fairly well from what i've heard, so it should play fine on the desktop. you should be able to play it on mid-settings with decent fps.

Hello, i have the x1600 and a core duo 1,6, 1 gb ram, it runs cool with 30 (high) but sometimes it goes to 20, havent played that much yet. So, for optimal performance i would set medium-high ;)

Oh wait! you dont the mobility version right? :p
