Alright, so I was just looking at the system information via 3dmark05 and I saw that my video card, x1600 is listed as having the following:

Total Local Video Memory 256 MB
Total Local Texture Memory 256 MB
    Total AGP Memory 512 MB

Does that mean it has a 256mb dedicated card? or that half is video memory, and half is texture memory? Newegg had this particular laptop listed as a 128 bit model, so I was just curious if I had gotten lucky or if I was just being a bit too hopeful.

    Thanks guys.

Megabytes and bits are two different things, MB is amount of RAM bits is the data path interface. So the card has a 128bit memory at 256MB in size.

That's correct, it is a 256MB dedicated card. The other 256MB is shared via HyperMemory (ATI's shared memory technology).

So it is a 256MB dedicated card? On newegg it was listed as 128MB I'm a little confused now

It's a good question. Either newegg got the listing spec wrong, or the spec of the actual machine wrong. Flip a coin ;)

Dont the x1600 cards come with either 128 or 256mb dedicated, and then dynamically share system memory for up to a total of 512?

It depends on the laptop - the majority of notebooks with an X1600 have 256MB dedicaed VRAM. However, there are certain ones, such as the Sager NP5750 and Acer 5672, tha have a 128MB dedicated X1600.
    Affirmative.
