Ok, if you look at my sig, those are my system specs.

Yet BF 2142 and even BF2 sometimes hover around 30fps with medium settings for BF2142 and high settings for BF2.

Then they also dip below 25fps in heavy fight moments.

Yet, I have other people with lesser cards or the same card who report no such issue. Im talking about other mobility users aswell.

I have reinstalled my mobile drivers and everything, but I have no idea/

Also, it just doesnt feel as if the X1600 256mb is working how its supposed to, it feels handicapped.

You can always try using the Omega Drivers.

    Hey usapatriot,

Here are some tips that have helped many people out:

    - Format your whole notebook, installed the newest drivers from the Asus site.
    - Install the programs you want to use (Word, Antivirus etc.) and the games you play.
    - Defrag everything, not 1 time, but 3-4 times in a row.

That should do the trick. It takes a lot of time, but sure helps.

    Charlie :)

If the framerate does not go above 30, then you have VSync enabled. Make sure that is disabled in-game and in the video card control panel.

It is normal for the framerate to come down in fights.

Actually I seem to have fixed the issue a bit.

I put the Flip Que Size to 3 and my FPS are much more stable.

Not as much as I hope they would be, but much better.
