Is the ATI Mobile Radeon X1600 256MB With Hyper Memory Dedicated?![]()
-
That depends, if you give us a link of the laptop that its in refrence too we can find out. Ususally if its 256 hypermemory, then 128mb of it is dedicated, and the other 128 is taken from the RAM.
Considering its an ati x1600 i imagine that its 256MB dedicated, with 256mb of hypermemory -
either way,the x1600 is a stout card that won't let you down whether its 128mb or 256 dedicated.

Yes either way u get it, the x1600 is a dedicated gpu with at least 128mb or vram. Some versions come with 256 dedicated, and others add shared memory on top of the 128/256 dedicated that is always there.

from 128 to 256 there will be a slight difference..but for midrange like the 7600 with 512mb it really doesn't make a difference compared to the 256mb version of it

And for the record, regardless of how much is dedicated it'll expand out to a maximum of 512 hypermemory regardless, my card is a 128 bit, and it displays at 512, and frankly, I dunno if you really need a 256, I run BF2 at all high, installing oblivion now to see how it runs, and I run psychonauts, and it looks gorgeous.
X1600 Dedicated?
