My Asus with a X1600 will not run C&C:Zero Hour. Everytime I try to run it the screen will not go into the game it will just hang and not respond.

What steps have you taken to troubleshoot the problem? I'd start with looking for patches for the game.
-
I have the latest updates for the game.
I uninstalled the Omega drivers thinking this may be the issue, ran DriverCleaner, and installed the Catalyst 6.12 drivers.
Still a no go. -
Are you sure it is nothing wrong with the game installation itself. Does the same game work on a different computer. I would consider an uninstall and then reinstall, if it doesn't work.
-
Yeah it works on every other system. Just incase it was the CD I bought a new copy.
The world builder will work but not the game.
All other games on the laptop work fine. -
Try install the DX included in the CD/DVD..
Mine works just fine..
Or is it piratxx? -
Zero Hour was a buggy, crappy expansion to generals. It doesn't surprise me that it doesn't work.

Yea..
I still like RA2+Y'Revenge better... -

I had that exact same problem, but it was after I messes around with tryign to run it in widescreen. I had to uninstall then reinstall the game to get it to work again. since then I have gotten it to work in widescreen with no problems.

seems like driver issues...I would try to reinstall Direct X also...

Easier gameplay, brief story..
Good old-time classic

Well out of no where it is working which is weird. Now it works everytime, no restart was done or anything.

Good to here, I've been playing generals a lot lately, fun times. I love doing skirmished against the computer and taking over other bases...fun times...
