Following on from my fairly succesful Go7400 thread, I decided to create this. Screenshots are limited, as are games tested - I tried to pick those that received the most questions based on 'will it run?'.
These games on are all running on the X200m - 64mb shared graphics memory. There is no dedicated memory, nor will it go above 64mb - so you will get improved performance dependant on whether you have a dedicated version, or a version that will go up to 128 or 256mb.
I was also tired of people claiming it was impossible to play BF2, FEAR or even Company of Heroes on X200 - all the time. So I spent this evening installing games on my old machine...
Ram - 1.5Gb DDR2-667mhz
Enjoy. Hope it helps.

That's it for now. My general comments:
Sin Episode 1 ran relatively ok on Dx9 mode, but ran at far higher fps guaranteeing smoothness throughout on Dx7 mode so I deemed that a better option.
FEAR Combat - ran much better then I thought it would, was on low settings, but had to stick to small games with about 8 players.
Warhammer - not an intensive game, ran fine.
Battlefield 2 - ran fine, but had to stick to 32 man games.
Company of Heroes - ran fine in 1 vs 1. Did not try higher
Call of Duty 2 - Ran fine and smoothly during multiplayer (what was tested), but only on low settings and res in dx7 mode. Still very enjoyable. Graphics engine meant that although I had much less detail I still had the same draw distance so I wasn't at any type of disadvantage at all really.

what are the resolutions? the screenshots look...unfortunately i dont have a x200m.....but i would like to see what other users are experiencing with their ones
-
Resolution 800x600 on all games, except Warhammer which is 1024x768. It is an x200, after all.
Oh - I know the screenshots technically aren't great - but these are games people were reporting in some cases 'don't work' on the X200. Specifically - Battlefield 2, FEAR and Company of Heroes. Example:
-
Also, this is a place for anyone to post screenshots of their X200 in action. Just notice far too often people starting threads, wondering what games look like, and never post pictures themselves! Like the Go7400 thread, I'm hoping it will help people decide what sort of card they can live with...

Those graphics are quite good considering the video card is integrated. Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures.
For anyone who wants to post, having the FPS show is helpful as HavoK's screens show. You can download FRAPS, a utility to measure FPS, here:

i thought integrated were basically useless why this one work well
-
-
Added Call of Duty 2. Someone else would have to continue this thread if anymore pictures are wanted, as I no longer have the machine, it's my mothers...
-
If you tested these games they would also work great:
Guild Wars
Battle For Middle Earth 2
World of Warcraft
Counterstrike Source
Half Life 2
Halo
Oblivion (With Oldblivion Mod)
Sims 2
Battlefield 1942 - Along with BF2
Doom 3
Quake 4
Unreal Tournament
Far Cry
And almost all older games
So theres a list
Go buy some -
I was only making this thread on my mothers X200 to test out some games and take screenshots for the benefit of others.....
I do not own an X200 myself anymore, I have a Go7400 -
hello how did you setup dx7 before it comes into game? becuase than intel gma 945 would be able to play cod2 on dx7 too, but before you come into game it shows dx 9.0 error.
-
A still picture will always look and feel much better than a moving one for testing integrated GPU's. Also, when a screenshot is taken it is usually not in the heat of combat, so the fps displayed will be higher. Nevertheless, nice job Havok.

In my defenec Havok, while BF2 does run on my laptop it's so utterly unplayable that it may as well not run. There seems to be a vast difference between performance of one x200m to another. Mine is one of the poorer ones it would seem
-
What exactly is Warhammer 40K Armageddon? I've never heard of that game. Looks like an RTS, very similar to dawn of war. Is it a mod for DoW?
-
Hey how did you get CoD2 to work on your laptop? He has the same GPU with an Athlon64 3200+. I tried playing on his HP laptop but everything was too laggy so he uninstalled it and sold the game. lol
-
when you are running them, r u generally over 25fps? My computer lags in many games, amazing how an x200 can render some decent pictures.
-
I would love to test out more games, but I don't have the machine anymore...
Also, yes Armageddon is a great mod for DoW that adds the Steel Legion armies...heavy emphasis on armour with loads of new IG tanks. Very good fun. -
Me and my cousin own the Dedicated version of the x200m. I added 2gb to my computer and my cousin has 1gb. We play games ALWAYS at Med - High settings including Oblivion, Battlefield 2, Battle For Middle Earth II, And Guild Wars. Don't Believe me just ask me for some screens and proof of a x200m system.
-
very good to hear... i wasn;t happy when it was the lowest of the graphic...
i dunno why but my bf2 lag like hell.... (mostly connection speed i guess) also i guess the ram does effect on games with ati 200m.... -
oops i forgot to put...
i can put some more pics if any body want it...with my gpu..... -
right when i finished reading this post, I immediately installed all my games that are on my desktop, they all work, now to test 2142....
-
Well this is what I got to play.. = )
