I originally posted this in the Toshiba forum but this might be the better place.

    Original thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=205903

I've been searching on and off for about 2 months on this issue without any real luck. Since version 167.xx or later of the nvidia drivers I get a BOSD (blue screen of death) ONLY when booting the laptop from cold (from powered off.) Once I reboot after the BSOD it boots fine. If I reboot, it boots fine. It's only when I "first boot", cold from powered off do I get the BSOD. I see others with BSODs while playing games etc. but I don't have ANY issues once I boot. I want the 167.xx or later drivers since they really improve my video performance.

    Thanx for any help...

Well an update. I installed the Windows Vista SP1 Evaluation copy Build 6001 and it fixed my problem. Now I can only hope the release version does the same.
