    Hi guys,

    I am brand new here

about to buy a laptop, and I need some advice, I thought this would be the place to ask.

I currently have a BenQ A33 with 2gb of ram unning XP pro, which is great - never had any issues with it, but another year has come and time to get a new laptop.

I mainly use my laptop for work, but since Command & Conquer 3 came out, I am really keen to give it a go once in a while. I love CNC.

anyway I am going to buy an ASUS F3JR-AP028C. Firstly, what are your thoughts on the laptop?

Secondly, the laptops graphics are powered by

How will this run CnC3? I dont want it to look fantastic, but I just want it to RUN so on the odd occassion I can have a play between work :p

    Thanks in advance guys.

I think it will run. The x2300 is an upgrade of the x1300 and C&C3 runs pretty well on my x1400. 2GB of ram is good too and you got 128MB of Vram. It will run on low maybe even some medium settings in 1024x768.

The x2300 is clocked higher. Atleast i read so at notebookcheck.com. They claim the x2300 runs at 480mhz core and 400mhz ram and the x1300 only at 350mhz core and 250mhz ram.
The benchmarks show 1000 3dMarks05 for the x1300 and 1500 for the x2300.

Also says the x2300 is based on the M64/M71 and the x1300 on the M52.
