Hi i was wondering if X300 64 MB will play new games on mid settings.
    No AA or AF needed.

will COD 2 run on it?

and what other new games on midd settings will run on it?

That GPU isnt very future proof. With The mobile graphics market moving towards the DirectX10 API, even current DirectX 9 Games are highly demanding.

It will run, but on bare minimum detail settings and resolutions with AA and AF off. If the frame rates are not too low, you'll be able notch the resolutions up a bit.

You'll be wanting an nVidia GeForce 7600 Go/ ATI Mobility Raedon X1600, nothing less .

CoD 2 is tough to run on my 128MB x300 and that is using DX8 shaders. I can't run run the game with DX9 shaders. Forget about new games, FEAR is barely playable on my card. I did play Company of Heroes decently though.

Most newer games should run; I doubt you would have a good time with a game like Oblivion though. Don't expect top settings and resolution.

Yes, you can run CoD 2 fine if you run it under DirectX 7 - there's an option in the options section of the game menu to do that.

Ah, that's right, it is DX7. You can run under that, but my card slows down a lot with DirectX9 shaders and it is OCed as well.
