I'm the proud owner of a Fujitsu Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile U9200 notebook that features Intel X3100 graphics. My problem is with the graphics memory: the Intel driver reports only 64MB as maximum memory instead of the theoretical maximum of 384MB, which might be the reason 3DMark06 doesn't even run, and many games perform horribly.

I couldn't find means of setting this to any higher neither in BIOS nor Windows. Intel tech support acknowledged that there is a graphics BIOS mode called "Maximum DVMT" that requires at least 1GB of RAM but they said it's at the sole discretion of the OEM if they turn this on at all or if they let the user fiddle with it.
If you are the owner of a laptop of any brand that has this same chipset and at least 1GB of RAM, please answer my questions so I can put the pressure on Fujitsu Siemens to better serve my needs:
1. What is your "Maximum video memory" value in the driver Information page under Windows XP (or Vista even)
2. Can you alter the memory footprint of your graphics from the BIOS, and if yes, what brand of BIOS do you have?
3. Can you run 3DMark06 in 1280x800 under XP with default settings?
All answers appreciated!

Many games you are tried are horribly slow cause the x3100 is an integrated card, so it's not acceptable for gaming at full resolution and settings.maybe you can run some game with low-medium settings but in all of them you can't have good smoothness and you'll have heavy drop-downs frame...

Instead of stating something I already know, could X3100 users actually read my post and answer my questions?

Could ANYONE check the Intel driver info and answer my questions?

1)
Min Grx Mem: 8MB
Max Grx Mem: 128MB
Grx Mem In Use: 11
2) I don't know
3) I don't have time
(I have the same driver than you, and I'm on WinXP Pro with 2Gbytes of Ram) -
Sorry, 2nd post.

mine says 128MB... should be 384MB though..
