    I've searched, i can't find a single thread about overclocking the X4500MHD.

I know there is a GMAbooster out there, but it can't be downloaded (or doesn't exist) on the creator of GMAboosters site. It won't take me anywhere. And when i searched google for this, i was surprised i couldn't find any info about overclocking the x4500mhd.

Any info about this is appreciated or how i can overclock the intel x4500mhd with any other software.

And spare yourself the comments that there is no need to overclock this specific graphics card and get a laptop with a better one, that's obviously not the point of this post, what can be had for free is better to try out first, then you could jump to another solution if that doesn't work.

The thing is i need a small graphics performance boost, just a bit and that could be enough for what i need it to.

    Thanks guys!

Thanks, but i've already downloaded that and tested before i posted my thread :) It doesn't support the x4500mhd.
Also i tryed another version that is 1.3MB (the one you linked is 984kb or something) didn't work either. Unsupported.

    1. Use setPLL's setIGP. 5% improvement if even get that.

    2. Run dual-IDA on your system to get the T7250-2.0 to 2.2Ghz. See http://forum.notebookreview.com/win...ida-both-cores-core-2-duo-15.html#post6646598 .

    3. Do a FSB overclock, performing a PLL pinmod if necessary: http://forum.notebookreview.com/har...verclocking-methods-examples.html#post4998927 . Up to 33% increase in performance.

    4. Your system has an expresscard slot and 4500MHD, so could do a a $150 GTX460 x1.Opt DIY ViDock. That will get 10-20x faster graphics performance.

That's the best tips i have gotten!

    1. Perfect, might be enough!

    2. You know what? From time to time when i have studied cpu-z i've seen the CPU jump up to 11x multiplier, but i thought that cpu-z was bugging. Now i see it's "true". And that's making me happy :) Though for the task it is used a cpu gain is not gonna do anything i think as it doesn't maximize the cores as is. (Starcraft 2 for the curious) while it runs fine in 1024x768 i want it running the same aspect ratio as the screen at 1280x800, still playable until you get alot of people out.

But i'm definately gonna give that a try anyways! Overclocking and modding things has always been a part of me.

    3. I'll see what i can manage :)

    4. I've had my eyes in that thread and all i can say is, that's something i really wanna do :) I actually got 2 pci-express slots one for the wlan and one for the wwan. So that is really gonna be fun!

Thanks for the great tips man!

The way the X4500MHD works, you overclock it by overclocking the FSB. Same for the X3100 and GMA950.

Oh i see :) And with the pll pinmod, i can make that happen i guess :)

Though it seems to be much troubles to even be able to clock the FSB, atleast to be worth it, maybe i'll just build a vidock, that should come out much cheaper and easier even with a budget graphics card.

I have a WWAN pci express empty, which is slot #1 i wonder if that is what is going to be used with a vidock. Also have a pcmcia port and another pciexpress port (the original wlan card)

    Thanks guys!

I just wanted to update on how it went for me.

I got Throttlestop and i put it up at 11x multi, running at 2.2GHz instead of 2.0 std. It's working great and that small jump in performance was enough!
I was trying to get StarCraft II running smoothly with the lowest settings at 1280x800, before i could play it, but as soon as i would have a packed fleet of 200 it would start to lag. Now it's totally playable and enjoyable!

    Thanks once again guys!
