hey guys is there any way of playing the Xbox 360 by connecting it to a laptop? If the notebook is HD capable and has a resolution of 1080p or 1200p, can i just connect the 360 to the HDMI port and game on? are there any necessary hardware attachments or anything?

The HDMI ports used on laptops are usually HDMI outputs. If you want to hook an Xbox 360 up to a laptop, you will need a TV tuner adapter. Since many TV tuners for notebooks don't have any RCA jacks, you will need an RF modulator or you will have to use an RF switch to connect the system directly to the coaxial jack on the adapter.

Adaptec Gamebridge works, but the quality is between worse than PS2.
You'll need an external monitor for HD gaming without a HDTV.

And you must make sure the monitor has these : 1920x1200 resolution, 1:1 pixel mapping and HDMI.

You can purchase the HP Express card tv tuner analog/digital if you have an express card slot. You get a composite input to use, so you can play your 360 in standard def with full audio whilst using your notebook.
