Modulator. Pick one up at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, etc. for around $30.

Whats a VCR? Seriously though - do they make an R/F modulator or whatever its called that you could connect to? I know you could do it with the PS2 back in the day, but not sure if they have the same thing for the 360.

Speaking of 360's, mine just died on me Sunday while I was playing GTA4. I guess that 2-year replacement plan I got from Best Buy is paying off - getting me a Gift Card for full refund (including the price of the warranty) so I'll probably end up getting the Elite now and just painting my HD DVD player black to match

Not useless until you buy up all those great CHEAP HD movies! ;)

If you're TV has no AV plugs, it's time for you to jump on the HD bandwagon, seriously man go HD, Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer or LG, pick one but anything that has HD AV plugs ie: not something from the 70's! :p

No doubt, might as well move to the HD world. I don't use anything gaudy large, but I do love my two 47" LG's LCD's. (Best Buy gave me $200 off if I purchased two)

    <3 my fellow LG HDTV owner, I own a 32" myself! :p

I feel like an outsider, everyone I know owns a damn Samsung HDTV, their TV ghosts a lot but they don't admit it, they are that much of a hardcore fanboy!

LG seriously offers the best LCD's, along with Sony. I own a Toshiba 37" I use for the laundry room, and to be honest, what a waste of $899. The colors are faded, and everything looks washed out.

I read "laundry room" and thought WTF! you have a TV in your LAUNDRY room! AND IT'S 37"s! You must be secretly rich, yet buy silly Toshiba!

Not rich at all, just pretty good on money. My career doesn't pay often, but when it does, it's not bad. (Studio/Recording Musician paid quarterly by WH/INCR)

I'm no Tommy Lee, but I do decent for me and my wife. (And we have no chittlins to take our money yet, so that's a bonus!)

    Sorry for the Hi-Jack!

Yes, check out a RF-RCA Modulator. Most department stores carry them, for a pretty cheap price.

Halofan, my suggestion is to buy the VGA cable and hook it up to your PC monitor. I have my PC hooked up via DVI and my xbox hooked up through VGA and all it takes is a press of a button on my monitor to switch between the two. Plus with the VGA cable you get HD.

Otherwise the modulator can be found at radioshack or walmart pretty cheap.

    good luck

I don't have a spare PC moniter. Unless you were talking about my laptop screen. Other wise i'm just going to pivk up a modulator. By the way how do those work?

How does a modulator work? Just converts RCA to Coax.

Here is an example of an RF-modulator from RadioShack.
Can always depend on Radioshack for these types of things. A lil pricey, but Radioshack made gadgets are usually worth it.

    Same idea as your VCR:

    1. Stick your colored cables in one end.
    2. Put the twisty-end into back of TV
    3. Go to channel 3 or 4.

Not useless when you consider I have a considerable collection of HD DVD movies. Just because the format lost out doesnt mean I need to get rid of my hardware or anything. I got a PS3 also (just for Blu Ray capability) so I'm covered either way.
