I think he means using the laptop's screen to play his games on. About a year ago I looked into the same thing, without any worthwhile results. A TV Tuner "might" work, but you could be limited to resolution as well as experience lag.

What are you talking about? This exact same topic is on this same gaming subforum, look about 5 threads down..

Get a PCMCIA, Express card, or USB video capture device that accepts composit in, they'll run you about $60 USD.

Thanks unknown555525, and yeah, if you were really desperate to do what you say, a capture card could do it.
However, the results won't be brilliant; you will suffer a lot of lag, where the capture card has to convert the signal.

The VGA port on your laptop was only designed to output from the graphics chip, and given that you are without a PCMCIA slot, your best option is to go for a USB Capture Card.

The delay of using a capture card is remarkably about the same as playing the game over any other display via a composit cable. But yea, because composit cables can only display 480i @30Hz, it won't look all that great. I wouldn't suggest wasting the money setting it up unless you have absolutely no other option.

And as shadows1990 said, the VGA port is output only, and "some" S-video ports on notebooks can accept video in, but it's very rare and requires a special dongle that would have come with the notebook when you bought it.
