    Xbox live on vista

    My question is can I play xbox 360 live games on my pc and play online games with people if I don't own an xbox 360? If I can how do I do it and what do I need?

    You can't do it, no. Sorry.
    In order to play Xbox 360 games with people who are on Xbox 360s you will need an Xbox 360.

    Games bought for the 360 can only be played on the 360. The respective PC version, except for Shadowrun, is NOT cross-platform capable.

    That's not entirely true. Shadowrun can be played with cross-platform players if you buy a Live Gold membership for the PC, but that's the only game I know of that supports this. In general, you are right though.

    I would pay $300 for an Xbox 360 emulator software rather then buy an xbox 360.

    not to be a douche but his statement is true, in order to play xbox 360 games with people on a 360 you need a 360.

    now for what i actually wanted to say. Games for windows live has been free for almost a year now, so there is no need to pay for shadowrun

    Actually he's right, Shadowrun you can play on PC with people playing on 360. I thought the functionality was only for a few select PS3 games, but it looks like I was wrong.

    yes i know shadowrun is a cross-platform game, but there is a reason i bolded xbox 360. in order to play an xbox 360 platform, meaning a game you play on 360, game with other people on 360, you need a 360

    Sigh......if this only was true.....I'd teach all those console FPS "gamers" the inferiority of the controller vs. mouse + keyboard even with all of the autoaiming

    Lol that is exactly what I was about to say. mouse/keyboard would wreck joystick any day. :rolleyes:

    And I think thats why they dont allow it to be done with FPS's yet.

    Doubt that. I play H2-Vista w/ my Xbox Controller and always get called a cheater b/c of my K/D ratio.


    So either Controller>Keyboard/Mouse, or everyone on H2 Vista sucks.

    Gotta be the latter. Whenever I've challenged a friend to use their 360 controller against me in TF2 or COD4 I wreck them.
