For those of you who like gaming on thin and lights and want your notebook to be as perfectly acceptable in the business world as it is playing games, this caught my eye today:

Not bad- a 13" Macbook Air clone that packs a i5-6200u and a GeForce 940MX in a slim frame- for ~750 dollars. If they used the GDDR5 version of the 940MX, this would be a home run.

Ooh, Engadget indicates that it is in fact the GDDR5 version; I think I'll be buying one as my "On the go" machine if we can get them imported around the same price.
"plus an NVIDIA GeForce 940MX GPU (with 1GB GDDR5 RAM)" https://www.engadget.com/2016/07/27/xiaomi-mi-notebook-air-laptop-china/ -
Has one SSD drive with option to add another, an OK CPU and OK GPU - plus it's fairly slim. Having owned a succession of Chinese Android phones I'm inclined to assume that there's serious value to be had, with a slight caveat in regards to durability. With this said, the last two Chinese phones I bought (THC and Cubot) have both held up to serious ill-treatment and I've been so impressed that I'll buy another one when I finally kill my current phone or give it away to family/friends. I'll wait a few months to see whether any nasty issues crop up and then I may well buy one of these unless something better crops up. Thanks for the heads up!

I was interested in the rumored 15.6 Pro model with the 970M in it (~$1000 USD), but looks like that one is either delayed or not going into production.

This plus the Razer Core would be a solid portable/desktop gaming combo.

It uses the USB Type C port for it's charging port. Not knowing enough about TB3/Type-C can the Core provide power to the laptop?
