Xmas soon upon us......

Hey everyone.
I know I'm getting a bit off topic here, but need some feedback.

I'm thinking of buying the Nintendo Wii for the kids this xmas and was wondering if any of u fellow MBR users have had any experience with this piece of hardware? And what games can u recommend for kids in the age 9-14.

Well I'm a Xbox 360 fanboy but I do own a Wii and it is fun for kids and when your bored. To tell you the truth there aren't many quality games out for it, a bunch of kids games but none of them are very good... I still say buy it for your kids, check the Wii game reviews at www.gamespot.com and you can read up on a lot of Wii games, hope this helps!

(P.S- get it ASAP it will be sold out this Holiday season...)

 

If it's for kids then it should great for them, I love my 360 but the Wii looks great for kids and I wouldn't mind one myself to play with my sister and parents. So I would think your kids would love it.

and just as a hint to not get possible warning from a mod/admin, these posts are best in the off topics section, plus, i'm sure consle gamers will be more likely to visit ot then to visit here xD
o and yeah..get it soon..it's gonna be sold out lol, it's a nice system..plus it's "revolutionary"

 

Any Mario game

 

Super Mario Galaxy is also being released soon, and I presume it's just going to be as good as usual.

 

Super Smash Brothers....however, it wont be coming out until next year I believe, but I'd keep my eye on it.

As for now:
Metriod (if you don't mind shooting games, well for the kids)
Zelda (I think I was about 10 the first time I played it on SNES, so it should be fine imo)
Guitar Hero III (thats just fun for everybody!)
Mario Party (not sure what number they are on now)

Those are the only quality ones that come to mind right now, I'm sure if I looked I could find some more, but like someone said above, there aren't too many great titles out for the wii yet. Oh and there is always the virtual console...

 

Hey Swank, if you want to get a game for the "kids", I think that Madden is a blast. I've never been a fan of any of the Madden games, but if I had a Wii, I'd be playing it too often.

 

Rayman Raving Rabbits (the newest one)... u just can't get enough of them. I enjoyed it alot..
