how do these compare? i'm picking a 12 inch laptop out of the heard and i'm set on either the acer ferrari 1000 or the dell xps m1210... does anyone know the big differences in these cards? is the xpress even worse than the x1300 and x1400's or what? ANY input is greatly appreciated.

The 1150 is integrated. The 7400 has 64mb dedicated. Ultimately, the 7400 will win in benchmarks.
I take it the 1000 has the AMD Turion X2 chip. It's a really good chip; however, the Core 2 Duo will beat the crap out of it. Go with the Dell. It's a bit heavier, but better overall performance. Not including better battery life.

The difference between the cards is pretty clearly explained/shown in the stickied guides.

The C2D can "beat the crap" out of the TX2 on repetitive benchmarks like SuperPI that can fit entirely in the C2D's humongous L2 cache. Otherwise the difference isn't THAT great, and like you said the Ferrari is a really slick notebook.

The Xpress 1150 is one of the two best integrated GPUs out there (the GeForce 6150 being the other one) but, yeah, a current dedicated memory GPU like the 7400 will smoke it on 3D games. If you're looking for a gaming notebook the 12" class isn't the best choice...

The ferarri notebook just priced high becuase of its casing/brand name. Your other choice has better components and is a much better deal. (i'd never buy a notebook just for looks- but thats just me). :p

Go with the dell is a much better buy in performance. Maybe just a little bit heavier but you will be set with that. Plus you can't compare the integrated graphics with the x1400.

The 1150 is pretty poor but if you're happy to play games on lower settings in order to get the laptop you prefer, it'll do. The 7400 is not exactly a prize winning performer either but would be substanially better then the 1150 for games.
