    According to him:

    "HDTV Pixel Formatting
    Catalyst AI Tweak
    Triple Buffering Tweaks
    Main 3D rendering Perf. Tweaks
    Area Anisotropic Filtering Tweaks
    +more"

does it work ... yes it actually does work especially when AA is on I get neat fps boost & better image quality when using Adaptive MSAA Vs the original Adaptive MSAA

Hey Mahmoud, Which Drivers do you use for your 5650? I pretty much have the same laptop, and get great performance, but am on 11.5 and heard that like Xtreme-G 10.10 is better. Did you put the 10.10e hotfix on top of his or just have 10.10 from Xtreme-G?

    I did a test.
With the 11.7 prerelease i get 3910 3DMark 11 points on my AMD Radeon HD 6970m and with this modded one i gained a extra 10 points.
But it also made my Borderlands game freeze up unless i turned all the settings to low.

Using the regular 11.8 prerelease its rock stable again.
Im just gonna stay on official for now.

Eh, but the difference between mine and Hungry's setups is that we both have a 5xxx series card, and the 11.x catalysts are optimized for the 6xxx series. I just installed this modded 10.10, but haven't tried a game on it. Will update though.

Ahh that was your problem? Don't touch mod drivers like these for any reason unless you have too. Back when official drivers were not compatible with laptops without mod was the reason, but now that official drivers work, its just an un-necessary risk.

Most of the time if there is even a small benefit to speed its because its degrading image quality or doing something funky. So many people get issues like HDMI not work, video artifacting, etc and they forget they put mod drivers on and it ends up being the cause.

On some notebooks we have still to install the drivers of the manufacturor and then we can use the official ATi drivers :( . And usually you cant brick your notebook with a driver :D. Even if just boot up in safe mode and uninstall it.

hmm ... synthetic benchmark wise ever since the 10.5 drivers my scores are the same +/- 10~20 points with any driver I use ... as for Xtreme-G drivers they always give me +++ fps boost ... e.g. in DAO at the area in ostagar when u enter the camp and the mages are in the fade this place with every single ATI driver I used to drop to like 15~20 fps while with all Xtreme-G drivers I never drop in the same spot with same settings & same IQ below 45 ... lots of other games I get my min. fps a lot higher & sometimes my average and I never had an issues with em ... might sound magical or not real but thats how it benefits me and thats why I share them with others

that being said its a matter of hardware compatibility & personal preference

EDIT: I forgot to mention that his tweaks work only if the catalyst AI is set to advanced ... so if it is set to anything else that means that no tweaks are applied and u r working with the original driver its based on & in some cases that may cause problems

Yep, you are very right. 10.10m from Xtreme-G gives a great fps boost on all my games. I mostly only play League of Legends, COD, CSS, and Battlefield and even my Bad Company 2 got a 5-7ish fps boost on med settings. Setup is exactly like yours, i3 370m + 5650.

Try to change the MSAA option in the CCC to Adaptive MSAA ... using Adaptive MSAA get rid of all my stuttering & reduced framerates ... the living example is PES2011 whoever plays that game knows that u will never get stutter free experience unless u use Adaptive MSAA or SSAA but SSAA is quite overtaxing to my GPU regardless of the amazing image quality ... when I started using the adaptive one not only it helped me in PES2011 but in many other scenarios

Give it a shot you wont lose anything ... also when u change that option restart the laptop because for some reason the CCC doesn't make the change active unless you restart
