EDIT: THEY HAVE RELEASED CERTIFIED DRIVERS TODAY 13/09/2012 :)

Have Nvidia dropped the ball, been checking for a week or two still Zilch, Nada.

Only Stock Manufacturers driver`s, nothing new from Nvidia.

nVidia is working on a unified driver. Not sure when it's coming out but for now there is only 1-2 versions of stock drivers.

And whats wrong with the OEM stock driver?
They should be based on the 296 or the 301 series, which is pretty much the latest driver for everyone else
    except modified for 600M series.

The unified driver is pretty much a driver attempt to work with any model with a Nvidia chip regardless of OEM origins.

excited voice alert :D even though it only lasted for about 1 minute

just tried my daily check on nvidia and up popped loads of august drivers all on one page. i thought i was seeing things so refreshed and it went back to july 3rd drivers.

so, did someone at nvidia slip up and post them by mistake and then removed them????

F5 button at the ready. as soon as i know you will know.

To be honest I was never bothered even it says beta on there, game profile fixes are being added with the new release of beta often, but not WHQL.

WHQL is a microsoft windows test... it means literally nothing. a newly released beta driver will provide just as much of an improvement as a newly released WHQL driver 9/10 times

the WHQL driver is the same exact binaries, it just has gone through the Microsoft WQHL tests. Just use the 306.02 driver. It installs and works great with no inf modifying or anything like that required.

they are probably waiting to release the WHQL with GW2 optimizations in it considering it is the biggest PC game to come out in since D3. They also are working on adaptive vsync to get rid of that choppy crap in some games

Guys, I have 650M, as no certified drivers are available, can we install the Beta ones?

The latest one is 306.02, will there be any problem with Beta drivers or not?

    Thanks.

I went back to 304.79 because Firefox was freezing constantly with 306.02. I couldn't be bothered to find a workaround.

I just installed 306.23 but as usual, they needed to be modded (if you are using a P170HM with no official Bios support). Nice to finally see some official Drivers for this GPU though.

What do you think is the likelihood, if at all, that we might get a BIOS that resolves this in the future?

They did a Bios to allow the 7970M to work on the P170Hm but only after a huge petition and pressure from the community.

Since the 680M can already work with a modded inf unlike the 7970M situation, I think they may not bother.

Only if resellers or a lot of people contact them to resolve this can I see them doing anything about it. However, for the time being, modifying the inf is as simple as replacing your hardware id with another and takes about 2 minutes. You can download the latest in my sig link.

Yeah, that makes sense. At the same time, I can't imagine it's a big change on their end either in this case. In any event, a small inconvenience for the reward.

Since all of the unrecognized 680m's seem to have the same ID, it would be trivial for Nvidia to include that in their Drivers. However, I think they would only do so if they heard from a lot of resellers.
