    Hello Gaming forum,

I'm interested in the Yoga 11S. I know, I know, it has as much power as a brick for gaming.

However, the only games I'm interested in are Grim Dawn (I loved TQ :thumbsup :), DIII, and LoL. I don't mind playing low settings.
Do you think an 3rd gen i5Y with 8 GB DDR3 RAM will run these games?

Otherwise, I don't use very demanding software.

    Thanks in advance.

Was playing with one of these today in Best Buy while killing some time, awesome little machine! I liked the 13" back when it came out, but it seemed a bit big to hold in various modes.... this one felt perfect. The HD4000 igp in it is definitely not meant for gaming but they perform decent if your expectations aren't high. Plus, games from a few years back play well.

    Thanks, that's good to know.

Would having an i7-3689Y instead of the i5 version make a difference?

In terms of just the game? Not much. In terms of performance? Probably.

Yes, but the price difference between a system equipped with the 3339Y and the 3689Y is $300. Both CPUs have the same base clock @ 1.5GHz but the 3689Y can 'TurboBoost' up to 2.6GHz instead of 2GHz and has an extra megabyte of L3 Cache. The HD 4000 IGP is still capped at 850 MHz so gaming performance as maverick1989 mentioned would not improve much.

The issue I have with the Yoga 11S' Core i7 configuration is that now you're looking at a $1299 price bracket, in which there are much better options to be had at this price point.
