    If you don't know where i have taken the topics quote from, don't brother reading this thread! :)

    Anyway am playing Baldurs Gate 1 now and am stuck in the beginning of chapter 5. I have just flooded the bandit mines, and now am supposed to enter Baldurs Gate but the city is still brown, like i cant select it. I have been stuck like this very long now. Is there anyone who remember what u did to enter Baldurs gate? In my journal it says travel to Baldurs Gate :S but i cant....-__-

    Hum, that's also from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, I think. Maybe they use a similar engine or something...

    BG is the first game who used it but its true that some games use it as well like Never winter nights and icewind dale

    Are you able to cross the bridge that leads to the city? If so, then I remember this issue, but not well enough to explain it to you. The area transition to the city proper should be reachable, but you have to search for it (it took me a while). If you're in Chapter 5 and you can't cross the bridge, then you've run into a bug.

    Its a bug yeah i found out i had to use a cheat to teleport myself into the city.

    Ah the good old days before they added the almighty tab treasure button. I spent hours just going through each pixel with my mouse to look for hidden rings of protection :D.
