when is release ?
-
Fall 2008 it seems.
-
nice,i ll play it with my new laptop
-
>.> so I guess that means there will also be another game next year, following prophets story.
-
games like these should be played on consoles sp you dont need to buy a new rig each time a great release is anounced
-
I am so buying this. I don't play games but Crysis impressed me
.
-
well, that explains why Crytek said no more Patches for Crysis, anyhow i think they will improve the shaders with that mini expansion

crysis wasn't that great imo. i don't expect much else from crysis 1.4
nice to know that EA doesn't support their games for more than a few months.
valve still makes updates to DoD and HL2, and half life 2 was more polished out of the gate than crysis is in its final resting state. -
I can't believe you play as Psycho, can't wait

This is great news I hope it runs at least as well as the original and I'm glad to see its coming out so soon. I'm used to hearing about games for 2-3years before they come out and being disappointed with the end result.
-
my prediction is that the game is going to run better, trust my senses
the first Crysis was most likely a benchmark for the latest Line up of Nvidia and ATI cards
-
Just to follow-up, it hasn't been revealed yet whether or not this is actually going to be the 2nd game of the proposed trilogy. EA is going to release more info this summer about the game.
Also, speaking to the nature of PC gaming, Crysis broke the 1 million sales mark in February. It has recently been rumored that Crysis has sold over 3 million WW. If they exist, the numbers are said to be in the latest issue of PC Gamer UK. Maybe somebody out there can look through the July issue for a confirmation either way.
It's unfortunate about EA dropping support for the original game, but based on their history, not entirely surprising. Oh well, here's to the modding community keeping it real. -
watch crytek complain about how this is gonna be the 2nd most pirated pc game ever ;p
i think this is a bad move.. sad that they are making crysis a closed book now with no more patches or improvements
and the fact that crysis sucks ;p played thru the sp looking for mp replay, and i get BORING MP that i quit in a week -
-
I really wish I had a rig to play Crysis on to be honest... ;] -

I see people destroy Crysis all the time and I don't see why. It has great graphics and solid gameplay with different options so its not so linear (stealth with silencer picking people off or drive a hummer with machine gun mowing down forests). Also the suit options added another element to the gameplay, much like FEAR did with the reflex boost, which is more than I can say for most fps out there that have nothing unique to offer but variations of the same weapons i've seen since the original doom. In fact just to pick up and play for a 30 min session its alot more fun than say HL2 because of all the scripted events and in-game chat sequences in the half-life series becoming tiring after the first time. Although I'm only halfway done with it (2 mmorpg game accounts atm....) it is my favorite fps since FEAR which had finally replaced the venerable Red Faction, note to game developers please bring fully destructible environments back to multiplayer shooters.
-
I wonder if we will see what happened to Prophet. Could be wishful thinking because the synopsis says you play from a different point of view around the same time Nomad was kicking butt
.
-
Ha, they're using Half Life 's alternate story telling technique.
Not bad , not bad -

I'm very much looking forward to this, as I had a blast playing the original Crysis. I thought the game was very well done - good characters, unbelievable graphics, the nano suit, and customizable weapons. Crysis Warhead looks like it is taking everything to the next level.
-
I just hope there is no TACK Gun bug! After 4 hours of hearing that woman saying use the Tack Gun, I went nuts. I recall I took my headphones off and was shooting random and was very bored
.Then I used a different save and it worked
.
-
yeah! that bug was annoying as hell
-
This game should actually benefit from fixing CryEngine 2 to actually run properly on SLI and multicpu/core systems.
-
*Stares in awe*
I building a desktop for this.. -
Oh no, not another "I bought my system, can I play Crysis on high?"
Nothankxkbye. -
You betcha.
-
well yeah, the game should get a little more benefit of SLI, its the only game i get low SLI benefit

I'm very happy that this is a PC exclusive, since that means the developers will be making it geared to take full advantage of PC hardware power. I can't stand ports from consoles like GRAW, because they're made to run on consoles and you can just feel the game has a capped experience. They also tend to be un-optimized/poorly programmed. The mouse and keyboard improves ports somewhat, but the graphics and AI are limited to console level. Very frustrating. -
Hey guys, some screens are up. A couple of them are decent res, the rest not so much.

Yay ! more photoshoped Pictures! i'll be damned if any card could run at those visuals.

Strange, in Game Informer, Crytek reported to be "developing their next game for Consoles, due to piracy".
-
-
omg omg, i wanna a game that let me play as Aztec lol
-
-
Why not play the Turtle fetished on the beach?
-
"Crysis: Turtle Trauma" -
i'm thinking there could be quite a story about Aztec. that alien caught him and found out that his suit has interesting technology so he kidnapped him and put a dead clone on the tree and everybody else would think he's dead instead of think that the aliens are trying to steal the technology. then the aliens put their own technology into the suit and made a prototype of the suit, let's just call it the maxo suit, they also brainwashed Aztec and put him in that suit to fight for them since nobody else can fit in there lol. then halfway through Aztec's old memory begins to come back and he encounters one of his old teamates(Nomad, maybe?). they fight each other and Aztec wins because of the maxo suite but he passes out right b4 he kills Nomad, who then took him to the researcher to get cured. then he'll lead the squad to kick some alien ass because he knows where they live!!! woot. the whole story should be after Nomad's ass kicking takes place.

Seeing as the first Crysis requires (in the words of Yahtzee Croshaw of Escapist Magazine) "some kind of super computer from space" to play, I'm guessing the sequel will need some kind of super computer from another dimension, no?
-
Shuttle SG31G2S Barebone Case - $239.99
Intel Pentium E2180 2.0GHz Dual-Core CPU - $82.99
Samsung SH-S203B DVD Burner - $29.99
Hitachi Deskstar 7K160 160GB hard drive - $48.99
A-Data 2GB DDR2 SDRAM - $45.99
MSI GeForce 8600GT 512MB video card - $94.99
Vista Home Premium - $109.99
Missing a few parts, but with Crysis who needs 'em?! -
Talk about milking a mediocre game: same game, different character, and another 30 bucks
-
Mediocre? I used to think that when I couldn't run the game. Once you actually get into the game, and get it playable, I don't believe it is anywhere near mediocre. The gameplay is actually a great change from standard shooters, and one major detail that I love- picking up guns/ammo. I love the realistic feel. Maybe I'm a sucker for details, but I actually really enjoyed the game, and am running back through it with a more "stealth" style.

i'll perhaps play this game, but i don't know. crysis pissed me off with this weird loading bug i got while in the alien ship so i quit playing- the game would crash within 2 minutes everytime i loaded it in the alien ship... i assume i was about half way through that part. also, that alien ship was long and boring and repetative, and if the aliens brushed up against you, you died. i did not like that.
i think with the programming bugs and whatnot, i didn't enjoy the game as much as i should have. perhaps the new crysis will be better. -
-
if Crysis did this, and it worked on High settings with a mid ress lets say 1280x720, then , Say BB to consoles.
You want it, you got it - More Crysis
