Yeah I have visited Mame about 5 or 6 times in my life and it only lasted a few days and I deleted it all. This time with the authentic controls I am totally addicted. As we speak I am forming a spread sheet for games I like and the list is getting so long I will never run out of games to play.

So many games I never knew about. A full on cabinet is even more authentic but hey im comfortable sitting on my bed and at my computer (and being on the computer is quite convenient to look up things & download things) My 37" monitor is great too, its almost just like a full cabinet minus the cabinet :p

Tried Ikaruga, man its hard have any hints? From what I can tell you have 2 forms and you ant to try to use the opposite form to kill enemies, but the same form gives better defense?

It reminds me of a really good game on playstation called Einhander

You absorb shots that belong to the same color you currently have, and deal extra damage to the other color.

So if you were in white mode, you would do more damage to black peeps, but also be vulnerable to them.

When you get hit by shots of the same color, you absorb the energy to be used as a special.

I can't really explain tactics, but the youtube videos might give you a clue.

I have some other cool games you need to check out dtwn83

Also a Naomi game like Ikaruga is Bangai-O (made by same company too, Treasure)

I also found an old arcade game thats really cool: Brave Blade.

Think AeroWings meets gundam or something. Your a fighter but you can go into "battle" mode and use a sword at any time, you also have a shield semi similar to Ikaruga.

well good luck, i looked it up to see how much they would cost and it will cost $22,000 for one but the thing is you can't just order one you have to buy 4 and then import it.

marvel vs capcom 2 by far!

lol i remember going to the arcades and that was all people use to play there would be huge tournaments and stuff.

Then i'd go and start owning them. :D

I hear Street Fighter IV is really popular in the arcades now :)

I have MVC2 so far engraved into my head from playing it so much on my dreamcast that I will hear those crappy intros and that horrible char select music till the day I die.

    "get ready to kick butt"

"Im gonna take you for a ride"

MVC2 is so important to me that its the entire reason I went through the trouble and cost to make this arcade setup modular. I wanted to use my dreamcast on it, however I got MVC2 emulating really well so it was not really necessary when I think about it.

Dreamcast was one of the best systems anyways there are a lot of good games I never played for it like Gigawings 2 and Ikaruga that I will want to play now.

Its also what started me on Phantasy Star Online, I loved that game so much back then.

Yep I have heard of it. Looks interesting to say the least. I plan to import it probably soon as I find out how to run it easily.

I heard rumor that MVC3 is going to be used on the same engine, and that TvC is actually running in the arcades on a modified Wii, so its a direct port to the wii.

This means now I have to buy & hack 2 wii classic controllers to use my arcade controls with the game, thats no easy task.

I have MVC2 running great on NullDC and its using my arcade controls its just like the arcade almost. I just got some VGA cords today so I can play it on my dreamcast instead to see if its better, but I have not got around to hacking the DC controllers yet to use my arcade controls.

As for Wii imports I have to get TvC for sure, and while not looking like the greatest game I may get Bleach vs Crusade just because I like the anime.

Speaking of power stone, since I was replaying my DC games I was just playing part 1 & 2 yesterday!

Beach vs Crusade? Ive never even heard of that before.

Heh what a coincidence about powerstone i thought capcom may have made an announcement about it today but they ended up anouncing Lost Planet 2 which is ok........Dreamccast had some really memorable games i feel like hooking mine up maybe playing some MVC1 hah.

I just hooked my my dreamcast for the first time in years, besides the fact I have to wiggle the video out port some to get a perfect picture its working great. Just tossed soul caliber in there. Brings back memories. Sega made great systems, shame the dont anymore.

I doubt it they announced they were done and they do not have there hardware manufacturing sites anymore. With big dogs like Sony & Nintendo & Microsoft already owning so much ground I do not think they have much a chance even with a good system.

A 4 way fight is just too much of a fight to come out with any decent chunk of profit. Speaking of sega, omg I saw something that looks cool. A new sonic game.

    Sonic & the Dark Knight.

I love swords, I love sonic. Its a perfect merge of the two ^^
