I find CoD4 multiplayer very very addicting, and the ability to unlock things and complete challenges is even better. What is your favorite weapon and perk to use in Call of Duty 4 multiplayer?

Although Im usually stuck between claymores and frag x3, the latter will get you more kills but I like to run into enemy territory and hole up there for awhile so claymores help a lot.

I use the M14 almost exclusively, I love it... I hardly ever see other players use it, too. Occasionally I switch over to the G36C, usually for maps with a lot of CQC, like Vacant.

 

Doesn`t it? I don`t remember, I`ve played the SP a long time ago, and my net connection is not good enough for MP .

 

M16 with RDS and stopping power, bandolier and deep impact

also the M60E4 w/grip\, double tap, and deep impact make this weapon a one man army

M14 with Acog scope, Claymore, uav jam, deep penetration, golden deagle. Deadly combination for me because I that gun is good for long range and close up. O and I love picking UAV for more of my class because I love to be stealth.

no one uses dead silence? I love that trait...

 

I've used it before, but generally I can be sneaky enough where it's not needed. Would be useful maybe for team tactical where there isnt a lot of fire to cover your noise.

What's the difference between having a silencer and using UAV Jammer perk?

And how do you get golden weapons?

 

Without a silencer, when you shoot you will still show up on uav even if you have uav jammer. To get the golden weapons you have to get 150 headshots with all weapons of a class.

Heh, on the PC, you get the Golden DE when you hit commander.

 

So you wouldn't need UAV Jammer if you always use silenced weapon, correct?

 

No, when UAV Jammer is up they can see you unless you have UAV Jammer. If you have UAV Jammer but no silencer then they see you when you shoot. If you have silencer but no UAV Jammer they won't see you on reg radar, but will see you when UAV is called.

Thing is last stand/matrydom are banned on a lot of PC servers so your better off not using them because you will likely get banned.

 

Why are they banned?

 

Because they are pretty cheap/annoying, in my experience ive joined a lot of servers where people have asked me to turn it off and ive also been banned (no warning) enough times to know its not worth using them personally.

 

i personally think Marty + last stand are a bit lame, I don't complain I just don't think they're as great as other perks. Why go for a perk you can only use when you're dead? I'd rather extend my survivabilty, or accuracy for example.

 

I'm completely fine without using last stand. The only reason I use it is because no other 3rd perks do anything for me. I can almost win with my ak on a one on one gunfight so I don't need anything else. I just use last stand in case they get first shot. I'd say about half the time I get a kill which is better then what steady aim or deep impact does.

 

i play on servers with last stand and martyrdom locked.........

plus at least half of the weapons.

i generally use the mp5 with silencer.............

 

martyrdom and last stand are banned in league play for a reason.
And i play Hardcore! ONLY HC! realistically it doesnt take an entire clip to kill some1!
my group depends highly on the situation
for long range, G3 rox socks with one shot kills
next comes the m4 or the G3GC? assault rifle... i think thats the one...
and p90 for rushing.
most of these classes include silencing the gun, with UAV jammer, And Dead silence. Your completely invisible to the radar AND the ears.

 

P90 for sure. The only weapon I use. Great all around weapon. You can even get long range kills even with the silencer and the clip size is awesome. I use all the stealthy perks.

 

Yes it is annoying when people use it and they always get label as a noob for using it.

For ultimate stealth get a gun with silencer + uav jammer then when you shoot and they call UAv they have no idea where your shot is coming from and where you are.

 

I always been a fan of the M4, and i really like in a silenced kit utilizing: bandoleer (with silenced weapons i use a lot of rounds), UAV jammer and died silence.

Sniper rifles, in hardcore I go for he M21, its the best looking sniper rifle and being semi-automatic mainly but also because in hardcore provide you get a head or chest shot its general one shot one kill.

I am quite fond of the G3, but at times I find the M16 to be better, and accurate burst will get anyone regardless of mod, the G3 in non-hardcore can take too many shoots.

BUT my favorite in hardcore is the desert eagle, you can snipe with it, you can go close quarters with it, many a time I have armed myself a whole game with it.

 

i dont understand this, i can understand martyrdom and last stand being locked but some of the weapons? why? because someone gets too many kills when they use it? every single weapon has a down side to it, they all have weaknesses.

 

This is why i don't play on NOOB servers.
I compete against other men, not sissies who feel the need to whine or "balance" the game.

Just play the game. If you keep getting owned, do us a favor. Join another server.

 

trudat lol, as much as i dont like martyrdom and last stand it is good when u get kills with them, I just dont use them ever...deep impact it much more useful

 

i like switching between lots of the weapons and perks...

i HATE people that use juggernaut.

It does vary from gun to gun with the perks, but those are the ones I like the most.

jk ur prolly better off with the m4 with ACOG or red dot. You'll get more kills than with the Grenade launcher.

 

I've tried the other combinations, the above has been the most efficient for my playing style.

I only started using them when I got to level 34, it's too hard to go back to my red dot sight and deep impact perks.

 

hmm.. i just feel like if ur using grenade launcher that you like to get ppl long range. so ACOG would allow you to use ur bullets to do that instead of just two grenades. Plus u wont have to deal with ppl going... NOOb TUUBE everytime u kill them
