    Hi

    i tried to install some newer GPU drivers this morning (175.15 and 174.74), and got the error "Your system has not been modified" when i try to install

    I ended up reformatting, and just discovered i have the same problem. I am majorly pissed off that i wasted 2 hours reformatting, and that i am going to have to waste even more time reinstalling all my programs


    If anyone knows how to fix this "system not modified" program, PLEASE HELP!.


    EDIT:

    The crappy 101.something dell ones that come with the laptop install fine.

    have you tried the latest dell ones. They are 174.31 I think. These should install fine. Did you use a modified inf file? this is important if you don't use drivers from dell as they won't have the hardware ID's in the standard ones form nvidia, or the ones downloaded from laptopvideo2go (unless you use the modified inf from there as well).

    Yeah, i might try the latest dell ones.

    I was using the LV2G + Modded inf before - thats what wasn't working. although it was working fine not that long ago.
