8700M GT in SLI mode must beat the ATI Radeon H4650 single card in my opinion. 1 GB DDR3 in H4650 cannot make the difference in perfomance much. I have read in notebookcheck.net that 4650 is better, but somehow cannot believe it. Also consider other factors like power consumtion and heat generation before making the verdict.

I dunno, even though the SLI 8700 has better performance in games that support SLI, I would still lean toward the 4650 for power and heat issues, plus the DX10.1 support, which may or may not ever actually matter. If you're going to go through the power/heat/size issues of SLI, you should get great performance out of it, not something that could be matched by a fairly cheap 9800m GS.

Now, as far as NBC having the 4650 listed as better... I defend NBC as much as anyone I've seen on these boards, but you can't just blindly look at which is listed higher on their chart. The SLI 8700 gets about 2000 points higher in 3dmark06.

    The SLI 8700m GT wins.

You make the final verdict. The Nvidia option will perform better by a small but real amount, but at the expense of size/heat/battery life.
