hi, i just got a new HP HDX 18t and wanted to know what i needed to hook it up to my ps3 if its possible, thanks!

I would imagine via HDMI...
-
I dont think so, since Im almost sure that the HDMI on the HDX is out and not in
-
Yup, almost all laptops have HDMI OUT, not in
But you can get an adapter like a Dazzle. -
I wouldn't bother. Your video/audio is going to be delayed by the encoder (either hardware or software), so you're going to have a slight lag between pressing a button on the controller and your char moving on screen.

My friends Dazzle has a quick response time and no lag, but unfortunately the audio is mono for some reason.

Ive played with a Pinnacle tv tuner that has an rca adapter. Plays with a half second delay that you would usually find on a signal being processed through a digital tv display.
Was bearable for recording though you only get 640x480 res. HDMI recorders are very expensive I have not looked in awhile but last I saw I only saw desktop cards. -
