Huh checking reviews like the latest on the HP dv6000, I see that the 3d2k5 scores of the x1400 and 7400 are both 2000+ so something in the acer must be limiting it whether it is cuz the x1400 in it is limited or the cpu or ram is.

ive heard alot of good about the dv6000t. but 3dmark on a mobile machine is based more on other aspecs of the system, ie cpu, ram. i would go with the hp cause its got a c2d. c2d outperforms the core duo anywhere from 13%-48%

Acers typically run hot - I would definitely go for the HP in this case because it has better build quality, a better keyboard, and similar performance. Don't base your assumptions off of 3DMark; it's a synthetic benchmark and is not all that useful for finding real-world performance. In gaming, the Go7400 and the X1400 have near identical performance, so it doesn't matter which one you get.

If you are comparing the score of this HP dv6000 and this Acer 5670 review then keep in mind that the Acer has a 1.6GHz Core Duo with 1GB while HP is a 2GHz Core 2 Duo with 2GB. In general X1400 is slightly faster than a Go 7400 (when the rest of the components are similar)
