    Hi
ive had a failed graphic card on my mates acer aspire 7720g, the card was a 8400mgs. i had access to another laptop the same and swapped the cards and it was then ok. Tried to get a replacement and found one on ebay but when it arrived i fit it and it had the same fault as the original, two screens split and coloured lines all over. Managed to get a refund ok and checked forums here. found that someone had done an upgrade and recomended a 9300mgs or 9600 card. Ive now got a 9300mgs card fit but the colours on the display are really strange, very bold and bright and sort of bleeding together. The icon shapes are all ok but colours totally mixed up. I had no probs with the laptop detecting the new card and updated to the latest driver from NVIDIA.
I started to suspect the new card was faulty but decided to connect an external monitor to the laptop and its fine?
i updated the bios from acer from V1.21 to V1.45.

Please can anyone suggest if its hardware or software, pulling my hair out and havent got much anyway.

Perhaps the screen is damaged somehow?

Do you have the correct video driver installed?
