Hey i just got a Mac book 13" and was thinking about upgrading to 4gb of ram.
# 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
# 2GB DDR3 memory
# 250GB hard drive1
# NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory
I was just wondering if this will give me a noticeable increase in game performance using windows 7 64bit home with boot camp or should i try to re-sell it and get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220699
i did not by the laptop with gaming in mind but i tend to get sucked into MMORPGS and wouldn't mind being able to get my fix on my laptop.
Obviously there should be a performance increase with the Asus butdos it blow the mac book out of the water and with the way technology becomes irrelevant how long will the difference be relevant. Also are there ways to tweek the macbook to increase performance.

H.A.L. 9000 Occam's Chainsaw
The 5470 (in the ASUS) has a 64 bit memory bus, and GDDR3 so, I'd say it'd be roughly equavalent to a NVIDIA G310m or GT220... somewhere in there. But the 5470 will mop the floor with the MacBook's integrated 9400m.

No, upgrading to 4GB of RAM will not increase game performance at all, really. The bottleneck is the GeForce 9400M.

if u got a big budget and want a 13 incher , u can get the Sony Vaio Z series which packs a big punch... but its expensive...
if u don't mind 14 inch , u can get a sony Vaio CW which is way smaller... For ur current notebook , a RAM upgrade would be pointless... ur better off selling it and buying a new one....
adding ram to macbook 13"
