well have been overclocking my fx1600 and took the RAM up to 1GHZ left it for 10 mins nothing kept bumpib it up till at 1.1GHZ and then I noticed a tiny articfact appearing ever 3-4 secounds at the top of the cube? but ATI tool's hadnt noticed this

well I think I am leaving my mem clocks at a nice round 1001Mhz (lol)

but before I start tweaking the shaders & core clock I could do with an artifact checker that actually works

    (I am using vista SP1 32bit)

I use Furmark (w/ AA to stress ROPS) and Orthos and ATI Tool (scanning basically) at the same time to generate maximum heat on all components. Then, when I OC, I find the max I can get to, then I know that under absolute worst load I'll never reach the artifacting point.

EDIT: sure this leads to lower OCs but I'd rather be safe than be destroying my GPU.
