    i have the geforce 6800.

i have a question: why do you say that you feel dell had underclocked your graphics?

because dell wants you to purchase the xps m170 or back then the gen 2(faster clockspeed). you have to actually go and download real nvidia drivers to see the full performance of the 6800

Edit:I dont think that Dell underclocked the 6800 Ultra because of what I said earlier, but if you want to make a move to non-Dell drivers. I use the nvidia drivers off www.tweaksrus.com I hope this helps

Edit:For notebooks, overclocking will only make your benchmarks increase; however, during playing, your card might become unstable. I would say keep your stock settings and get new drivers.
