hello again
i have dv5-1135
4 gb ram
c2d 2,2 ghz
geforce 9600m gt 512 mb
i wasn't able to access my console in crysis , duno why but i did get the fps by adding -devmode to ther shortcut
anyway , by adding devmode you will obtain some texts in the top right corner of the screen , this text contain the fps , operating system , dx version etc....
i am getting 15 FPS on medium in 1280x 800 (while walking alone , not running or shooting) . is that good for this video card ???
and i am getting the following "mem = 745 mb" while i have 4 gb of ram installled , isthere anything wrong here or it's just something related to the game
and if there's anytips on how to make crysis run smoother , please do not hesitate to mention
i usually play crysis on medium at 1024 x 768 and get 17 or 18 fps (also while walking alone)

you should be getting much better performance than that. Update your drivers to 185.20 from laptopvideo2go.com (make sure you unistall, reboot into safe mode, use driver sweeper, reboot, install 185.20,reboot), then add -dx9 to the games target line. Also if you would like even more performance, do all the things mentioned above, then download this:
http://www.crymod.com/thread.php?threadid=14195
that should squeeze out an extra 2-8 fps for you. -
thank you
man i downloaded 185.20 from lv2go
but the performance was not good at all !!!!!!
so i downloaded 179.25 from nvidia website to get this
this is the best i have found
but here's how i did it
uninstall my drivers >>> reboot >>> install new drivers>>>reboot
that's it
i don't know what's a driver sweeper....
can u help me plz -
the dox 181.20 performance set came out best in my test. try them.
driver sweeper is a program that removes all traces of driver. it increased performance when i used it a while ago when i upgraded from nvidia drivers to 181.20.

if that still doesnt help, try dropping the settings a bit. crysis is stupidly intensive. -
Make sure you are running in DX9. To do so, start -> games -> right click crysis -> dx9
-
or add -dx9 to the target line of a shortcut.
nice avatar geek -
again 185.20 ......worst drivers ever , at least for my 9600m gt
when i uninstall the vga and run in safe mode
first the windows will install some default drivers of the vga without asking me at all ........and i cant stop it , does this affect the process???
as for the driver sweeper , after runing safe mode and trying to clean the registry using driver sweeper ( only 2 left registry file were left or at least found by driver sweeper) , when i press clean i get some kind of an error -
you need to run driver sweeper IN safemode. if it wont remove the last 2 dont worry too much, its just best to get rid of as much crap left over as possible.
and you dont need to worry about the one windows installs during safemode, theres no way to stop it and its not a full driver anyway (i think) -
ok i knew what's the problem with 185.20
the modded inf don't work on 9600m gt , i knew that from their forum
it needs new modding that's all
these drivers work perfect;y for other cards
today (179.28) i have an average of 25 fps on 1024x768 and 2 less fps on 1280x800
it's a big improvement (i didn't change anything in my system tho)
another set of questions for crysis
