Are there any half decent FPSs that would run 'ok' on the m1330 with the good graphics card, or is it still inadequate? I'm a very casual gamer but I do have a 360 and I'm use to some good games. My expectations are reasonable for this system, but even still, would it really suck?

Battlefield 2 runs fine.

You can run any game on the market with that card, altough the newer ones at lower settings.. Even crysis will run ok, altough at low settings. The nice thing about new games is that they look good even at low settings.

Bubba, I'm pretty sure the x1700 is a 128-bit, 256mb video card, so you'll get much better performance in older games. Newer games with shader model 3/4 will probably run better on the 8400.

RedOrchesta is a very fun FPS game abd you can buy it on valve steam portal very cheap. This games runs great on high setting on ATi X1600.
Then as sudgested before Battlefield 2 will also work nice if you have 2 gig on ram -
Half Life 2, Counter strike source, Battlefield 2, Call of duty 4, Team Fortress 2, Quake Wars Enemy Territory, DOOM 3, pretty much any game. If its 2+yrs olf then itll play in med/high settings, if its 1 year old or new then at med/low settings.

Ive played bioshock on my one. (demo lv)
Screenshots of some newer games from page 2 onwards. Some of mine are running better now than in the shots thanks to new drivers ect.
