    any actual benefit from the 319MB Nvidia 84oom GS to the 383MB Nvidia 8400m GS card?

    I think I heard someone on this site say that sometimes its redundant to get more dedicated memory due to the fact that the GPU cant utilize the extra anyway. Is that the case with these two chips?

    Im asking because Im debating between an HP Dv6500t with the 383MB or an HP DV2500t with the 319MB. Thanks for your advice :)

    uh who said that? more dedicated memory = good

    i hope you know that the hp nvidias are 128mb for the dv6500 (i think- not sure double check on site), and the dv2500 is only 64mb of dedicated

    though between those two cards...there isn't a huge difference because its basically the same video card with the same memoryspeeds/bits etc.
