my fan keeps going off too often and i want to see if it's the CPU or GPU. Well i just want to rule out the GPU being the culprit. I'm 95% sure it's the CPu though.
Is there anyway to stress test only the GPU and not the CPU?

OCCT - can do both gpu or cpu seperate
Wprime - Just cpu
3dmark06 / Vantage - does both but has tests that are more focused on one or the other
Furmark - GPU
ATI Tool Artifact Tester - GPU
Encoding (like video encoding) - CPU -
thanks for the suggestions!

Play crysis and test it at different settings.

Folding@Home uses ONLY the GPU. If I remember correctly, the common benchmarking programs leech into the CPU once in a while.

i used furmark, and accordingto RMClock, it stressed the chipset instead?
anyway to just stress test the GPU? (Studio 1555 with Radeon graphics)
