I think my cards artifacting when playing Witcher.little red/orange blobs appearing randomly? is that the sign for artifacts? my GPU can get to mid 80 c ish. Thats not too hot I guess.

I'm using a cooling pad as well
-
hmm getting hot with a cooling pad, i dont think id call that normal, btw next time edit your post and dont double post(in case admin comes by)
-
I didn't double post, maybe the mod moved it and forgot to delete this one. thanks anyway.

80c is high for 8600m GS, but it shouldn't be artifacting. I'd try different driver and see if that helps if not talk to Dell.
-
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
are you overclocking?
-
I would say anything up to 86c-90c is normal.ink -
the artifacts hasn't showed up again, weird. thanks for the help guys. my laptop is under warranty and since i don't overclock, I guess i can just call up dell if anythings happens.
-
My laptop a couple of years ago showed signs of artifacts right before the video card fried.
-
80C load or what? If its artifact in the boot screen, or in there are an increasing amount (after weeks or days) then your GPU is definitely dying.
-
And the 8600m not doing well lately. Pay attention and good it is under warranty.
