i have a asus g1s-a1 and just installed the crysis demo and 169.04 drivers. i just wanted to see how my laptop could handle it, so i turned the res on 1200x800, all on high except shaders and shadows on low (recommended by some users) and it looks good. but it doesnt look as good as this one guy on youtube who ran the same machine as me, same settings, but his looked pretty awesome. on mine, the graphics r still edgy, not smooth, and it didnt look that different from medium settings. what should i do??? and wut might be a reason???

    thank u!

Shaders and shadows on medium transform the game into something else. Go all Medium and see :D

I just hit "prnt scrn" on the top right part of your keyboard and then pause the game, go into MS Paint and go to edit > paste

the screenshot will paste and then you can just go to any photo hosting site like photobucket and upload them. Might be downscaled in resolution though.

Most games also have a button to take screenshot like F6 or F7 or something like that, just read through the manual.

    HOpe that helps.

You do know that Youtube videos are ultra blurry and low-res, right? It would hide the otherwise glaring imperfections such as Aliasing and texture work.

Crysis is ALL about the shaders, which is why I do not understand the point of settings shaders on low and everything else on medium or high. I set my shaders as high as possible (around medium) and everything else medium and it looks great.

Er....how can you tell the graphics arn't as good as what you see on youtube. Youtube vids are ultra compressed and 320x240 (?) res, they all look rubbish whatever graphics card you're using! I suppose the advanced shaders/lighting can be seen on a youtube vid but surely you can't accurately compare?
