Ok, i have a g1s, and i want to upgrade from 2gb of ram to 3gb of ram.

I already know ram is the cheapest way to increase performance in games and just about anything else on the computer.

But how noticeable are the upgrades, i don't want to upgrade my ram, even if it cost liek 25$ for meaningless gain.

Depends upon what you do with your laptop. For the most part, it will not do much unless you are a heavy gamer or multi-tasker. For general use/gaming, 2GB is fine.

I upgraded from 2GB to 4GB ram but i had vista 32 bit, and i didn't notice anything...
Now I just got my Seagate Momentus 7200.3 and I installed vista ultimate 64 bit yesterday so I will see :p but I don't think it will do much.

And isn't it so that if you upgrade to 3GB ram you lose your dual channel mode? It doesn't make much difference but it's something... :p

    Gaming? No.

Crysis for example runs at the same frame rate with 1GB, 2GB, & 3GB's of RAM. Load times improve. From 1GB to 3GB's you'll notice it..... -not sure how much you will notice 2 to 3.

Save your money. You won't notice it.
