    hi im a just about to buy asus g2 laptop with an ati x1700 card but have just read on the back of a game box (rainbow six) that the game doesnt support this card will the game still work and are there many games like this

    Could you stick a link up for that lappy? And it's very probable that the game will play, the x1700 is a decent card. Also Rainbow six is quite old (If i remember correctly...) and this might explain the lack of an x1700 card being in the supported list on the back.
    I've never really played the rainbow series though. How advanced are the graphics in Rainbow 6?

    I could have swore rainbow 6 is pretty old...i remember playing rainbow 6 on my desktop which was "well" equipped with a Nvidia TNT 2...Rofl.

    I think it should be able to play rainbow six with out a problem...at least on med-high settings.

    yeah the first rainbow six i played will play with those specs but this game has way higher specs than the first one ,have just been told las vegas has only been out for six months

    Should still play fine. If it is a 6 month old game there is no way that a x1700, that was considered a mid range card, can't play it.
