Because its a lie, the ATI 200m is a thousand times better than the Intel GMA 950. :)

Possibly the biggest pitfall of the GMA950 and integrated Intel GPUs in general is their lack of hardware T&L; it's done in software.

The Radeon X200M is far superior to the GMA950; it is based on the Radeon X300 core and has enough processing power to play most games.

    Exactly what Chaz said.

While on paper the X200 and GMA950 seem similar, the X200 architecture is more advanced. The X200 is quite superior in real world terms. Depending on the game, you may see 25%-200% improvement in frame rates.

From an avid gaming perspective, all integrated chipsets are less than desireable, but for low cost, general purpose laptops, the last several offerings from both ati and nvidia arent too shabby in my opinion, they arent gaming solutions, nor are they meant to be, but they do offer a lot more performance and features than their intel counterparts. Intel may have pretty numbers, but the chip is sorely lacking under the hood, they lead the OEM market simply by being cheap and offering just enough to get by for routine day to day computing tasks. If gaming is high priority, never look to an integrated chip, but if you want a machine for routine work, and the ability to play an occasional game at lower settings, stay away from intel for the time being, ATI an NV are your best bets, the other few solutions that are floating around really arent even worth mention.
