i have a 1280x800 widescreen windows vista premium notebook, and an ati radeon 200m graphics card. i heard that it's possible to play maplestory (a 2d game with an original resolution of 800x600) where it's as tall as your monitor, but not as wide, like a bigger version of 800x600 with the same ratio, so it looks much clearer and theres two black strips on the sides, but none on the top. i want to know how can i get maplestory to play like that? i went into ati catalyst control center, and theres two options under "scaling options"; fullscreen, and center. fullscreen makes it all stretched out and ugly, and center makes it too small. HELP PLEASE!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading that this feature was available in the GeForce Go 6150, and not ATI cards.

depending on your specs, you may even be able to play newer games, but with all settings off, and low res, w/ little-no lag

Edit: my cousin has an Hp laptop, with a 1.8ghz Amd processor, 1gb ram, WinXp, 120gb (5200rpm?) hdd, and is able to play FEAR at playable settings.

Try centered timings, maintaing aspect ratios does not mean play as asked. Good luck I think it will work. Why does Catalyst say X700?
