Hi, My laptop has the Ati Radeon HD 3200 integreated graphics card.

I know that this is a very good performing graphics chip but usually I use the laptop for schoolwork so I was wondering if I can change the card's settings somehow to increase my battery life and reduce the heat the laptop is generating??

i don't even use Aero on vista and have turned off all visual effects because they are distracting.

    can anyone help??

    thanks

The card is integrated, meaning its power consumption is already very low. Also check if ATi power play is enabled in the Catalyst control center. You will want it enabled.

Its an IGP so it would get very hot or use much power anyway. :p

My 3200 laptop gets great battery life and only runs semi warm due to being a 12in tablet.
