Fellow gamers I need your brain power, experts in ATI cards are mostly needed :p

***Note that firegl v5200 is basically a x1600 fine tuned for workstation (side note: anyone knows how to force catalyst x1600 settings on a firegl?)

    [questions]
Anyone owns a lenovo (IBM) t60 or t60p and plays counter-strike source? If so what is your score on video stress test.

What is better geforce 7600 or ati 1600?

Is hypermemory just a marketing thing? I mean how does it work, many people have said it's crap and you can't really get extra memory. Others say that if you have a lot of rams in your laptop it will work and it is a nice feature for upcoming games.

Is direct10x video cards worth the wait? Basically it'll come in laptops probably at Q3 2007. I mean do you guys know the cool features of D10x?

I don't have a T60,but I'm sure that Source flies on that great notebook,Radeon X1400 is enough for that game, for sure.I looked my friends playing Fifa 2007 on it,and there was no problems at all.
It's all the same.Personally,I would take ATI because I like that company more(nVidia is a crap...).
Do not wait DX10 cards. Why?Because you'll need to wait 'till September probably and they will be very expensive at first time. And always will be someting to wait, isn't it?So,if you have money, take now a notebook you've planned(with strong graphic card if you want to play games).

NVIDIA works better than ATI under Linux, and has better aftermarket drivers as the Omegadrivers are randomly updated, if at all, as compared to Laptopvideo2go. NVIDIA will do OpenGL better than ATI. ATI tends to run DirectX graphics a bit faster. Either will run quite fast for you, period. But I agree that you shouldn't wait for DX10. Not only won't there be games available, but it'll cost an arm and a leg.
